WHAT: FREE School Incursion “Music in my suitcase”
WHEN: TERM 4, 2022
TIME: During morning recess, lunch, parade
FOR: Year Level Suitability: PS 3-6 or HS 7-9
WHO: Zech Walters, SWM RC guitar teacher
DURATION: 20-30 minutes show including a Q&A session
Music in my Suitcase gives students the opportunity to share their own languages and explore the idea of travelling in this short show. Students will have the opportunity to participate through a crowd sing–along, body percussion and help Zech create an improvised song on the spot.
SWM RC provides our own PA system which requires access to power. We suggest using a large classroom, gym, drama room, or outside undercover area.
Australians come from many different places and New Zealand born Zech Walters is new to Deniliquin and the teaching team at South West Music Regional Conservatorium. He is a member of Woodlock, a band of brothers with over a decade of national touring and headline international tours through the Philippines, China and Canada. His music is featured in advertising with NRMA insurance, Disney+, Nintendo and Vodaphone.
