FREE CHOIR PROGRAM FOR PRIMARY SCHOOL CHILDREN. "RIVER SONG"
Starting on Saturday 20 August, Sessions will run fortnightly from 2pm - 3:30pm at South West Music Regional Conservatorium.
The program works towards a performance held on the riverbank in Deniliquin in November.

We are kick-starting a free pilot Primary School Choir program for Term 3 and at SWM all about the power of song and dreams!
It will be held fortnightly at South West Music, in the Concert Room on Saturdays (fortnightly) from 2pm - 3:30pm starting Saturday 20 August. The program will culminate in a magical sunset performance by the riverbank on Saturday 19 November with a mass school choir, SWM all-star band and vocal line-up with a guest choral director.
This new fortnightly 90 minute choir program offers an opportunity to primary age students who have lessons 1:1 in singing, piano, drums, woodwind, strings to join in the River Song Finale and Workshop on Saturday 19 November.

WHO: For young people who want to sing! Primary school students aged 7-11
WHY: Uplift, learn, have fun and connect through the power of song!
TEAM: Guest choral director TBA & Louise King with SWM vocal teaching team as assistants.
MUSIC: The songs chosen for 2022 River Song project are:
• ‘A Million Dreams’ from the blockbuster movie "The Greatest Showman" by Benj Pasek & Justin Paul.
• ‘Evening Star’ by Australian composer Rachel Kelly.
• Choir Choice 1 x song – theme of River / Hope / Dreams
