South West Music is thrilled to offer our very first concert out of COVID lockdown right here, at the Conservatorium, with an exciting program featuring concert pianist Elyane Laussade. A graduate of the Juilliard School in New York City, Elyane has made Melbourne her permanent home where she is in much demand as a soloist, concerto artist, and chamber musician. This concert is an enticing blend of French and American selections reflecting Elyane’s bicultural upbringing. With the contrast of elegant French music and more entertaining American works, culminating in the well-loved solo version of Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, this is a program NOT to be missed! Other works by Chaminade, Debussy, Ravel, Scott Joplin, and Zez Confrey.
