The Blighty Bush Dance...

On Friday night the Blighty and surrounding communities came together for one huge BUSH DANCE. Featuring the Berrigan Bush Drovers, the audience were entertained with a high-energy, foot-stomping performance by the band. They are a talented group of musicians hailing from the heart of the Southern Riverina of NSW. With a lively repertoire of traditional and modern bush music, everyones toes were tapping!!

In the week leading up to the event, line dancing workshops will take place in local schools including Blighty, Conargo & Mayrung to offer students an opportunity to learn the outback tradition of bush dancing.

A huge thankyou to the parent committees from Blighty Public School & Mayrung Public School who cooked everyone a free dinner! Also thankyou to the Blighty Football & Netball Club who volunteered to run the bar. Last but not least, thankyou to the amazing volunteer committee at South West Music who are vital to the success of our events. This event was part of the Live Music Annual Concert Series. The event was proudly funded by the NSW Government.
